omg okay i had freaking felix feels at like 2 in the morning last night (well really i was having FUCKING HORRIBLE MENSTRUAL CRAMPS so i woke up but that’s besides the point while in pain i was thinking to distract myself) so bear with me here 

okay so like, it totally dawned on me last night that felix is the odd boy out of him and his brothers

like, for one thing he’s awkward as hell, while ethan and lucas are all popular and can make anyone their friend’s within a few minutes, and really who likes being awkward and having a hard time making friends? IT SUCKS. second, and i don’t know if this counts but whatever, but like basically all the boys were in gryffindor except for him, and that might make him feel like he isn’t brave like them or something, but we all know that’s not the case. then of course there’s the whole fact that he’s the one boy out of the three of them who can’t play quidditch, so how much would that suck considering that matt , the freaking son of a quidditch star and is one himself, is felix’s father? 

with that said i got the idea that matt would know felix would feel bad about both the whole quidditch thing and that he’s just so shy like his mum was (we can all tell it must have pained matt to see her back in the day seeing how shy she was and then after that when she must have told him about her horrible experience in muggle school was and he’d hate himself for not being able to do anything about it since it was so long ago) so when ethan brings lucas outside so they can play with a quaffle or something matt would hang out with felix because he loves his little boy and they’d just read stories and felix would tell him everything on his mind and matt would be there for him and just listen and askahjfgkjafg
